Hey everyone. Here is a very quick update from Yesterday and today.
Yesterday we spent a long time in the favelas. It is so great to see our team being so personable with the people in the favelas. We spent most of our time doing different hut visits. We then got our butts kicked in soccer. Oh how refreshing!
After soccer was over we had our church service. I was able to preach this time, and loved it. It definitely slows you down when you have to have someone interupt for you. I also will never complain again about our middle school students being a distraction while I am teaching. Last night, I had the opportunity to speak with a drunk in the room yelling the whole time, and in the middle of my talk, I had a lady decide it was time to breast feed her child. Ha-ha, what a night.
We got in late last night and had a few hours of sleep. Then, we got up this morning and went to the local school. It was great! It was as if our students were rock stars. Cory was a huge hit with the ladies and Canaan was asked to have someones baby! Ha-ha…again. We are fixing to have kids over to the house tonight for a midweek bible study.
