Tonight we wrapped up Nehemiah with leadership and ministry students. Here is a little overview my guys talked about with Nehemiah. We start into James tommrow.
Nehemiah 1
-Leaders are concerned for other people.
Nehemiah 2
- Changing a heart is God’s specialty
- Praying and waiting go hand and hand
- Faith does not give us a reason to be disorganized or not to plan
- We can expect opposition when we follow God’s will
Nehemiah 3
-We must have a team around us
Nehemiah 4
-Leadership comes with opposition
-Leaders must be able to offer a quick solution
- Leadership is hard work
Nehemiah 5
-We must handle the finances wisely
-We cannot live in sin, sin slows down progress
-Face problems head on
Nehemiah 6
-We must always speak vision into people lives.
Nehemiah 7
-Find one or two people who you can trust
-We must be organized
-Leaders rise up other leaders
Nehemiah 8
-God vision is often greater than what we can see in the beginning
Nehemiah 9
-We must celebrate when God does something amazing.
Nehemiah 10
-Being accountable often requires coming into agreement with other people.
-We must set aside time for God on a consistent bases.
Nehemiah 11
-We must be willing to be unknown
-Don’t forget to give credit where credit is due
Nehemiah 12
-Give credit back to God
-Dedicate what you have done back to him.
