Last night was a cool night. When I got home I decided I was going to cook dinner for Dawn and I. It’s not often I do this, so when the time comes its always a big deal to me. My wife is an amazing cook, I mean amazing. She loves to cook, she loves cook books, and we don’t mind trying new things. There is however one thing I excel out in cooking that beats her out. My chicken casserole. I actually taught Dawn how to make it and she says that mine is way better than hers. It might be because I didn’t give her all the recipe so she has a reason to keep me around or because she got to relax and then eat. Either way I knocked it out of the park!
While I was cooking I had a student call me at home to let me know that Wednesday night during our prayer time he accepted Christ! What a great convo! One statement that he made to me was amazing, he said how could I not ask Christ to be Lord of my life when He was willing to die for billions of people! God has big plans for this kid.
After dinner we had ten(10) middle school students over who are going through some leadership stuff with us. Great group of kids. I pray that God does some amazing things with these students!
It really does taste better when you cook it!
Thanks for giving me the night off to put my feet up and read a book. You are so unselfish! Love you.
