Today Canaan (our new handsome, manly, incredible student ministry intern) and I went to Stewart’s Creek Middle School.  One of my new years goals was to be more visible in our middle schools, thus the visit.  Last night during Direct Connect our middle school program on Wednesdays at FBC Smyrna we gave out flyer’s for Rush Hour for students to hang up around or give out to their friends.  As Canaan and I walked down the hall we were amazed to see so many flyer’s all over the walls, coke machines, lunch tables etc.  We saw 2 large groups of students going around hanging more.  Of course they asked permission to do so :)  So what is this lesson learned?  When you set a vision before students to invite their friends to an event to hear the gospel they will respond.  The challenge to us?  How passionate are you for winning the people you have influence over to Christ?  Let’s learn from these students.
