I was looking at our adoption blog today and as I scrolled down the page I saw this widget, I think that’s what it is called.  It shows a picture of a baby on a time line showing how long we have been in the waiting process for our boy to come home.   I am not a fancy person and I don’t know how to insert pictures so you can go here to see it. www.thehollomons.blogspot.com

My wife will kill me for saying this, but we have been in this process for one year, two weeks, and two days, far longer than what we thought, but I am okay with it.

This afternoon I read 2 Peter 3:8.  Such a great verse about the patience of God.  It say’s this:  But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.

I think for Dawn and I we feel more of along the line of a day feeling like a thousand years.  Each day that passes by feels like a week at times.  However, I am completely okay with God’s timing.  Trusting Him to know when our time is and when our perfect boy will come home.

I am asking you to join me in praying that the Lord will bring our referral to us this month.   We are starting to get close to that time that is going to become very sticky in Ethiopia for adoption with the rainy season and the courts closing down.     A lot of our paper work is beginning to expire, I have a doctors appointment tomorrow morning to update that paper work.

I am claiming these verse this month.  Ephesians 3:20-21: Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!

I am asking Jesus to do more than I could ask or imagine in this situation.  Will you join us in praying that?
